Leadership Level 2 - Team Leadership
Team leadership and coaching skills
Table of content
Learning Objective
Apply Level 1's foundation to real FRC team leadership: coach individual team members using Situational Leadership (adjusting your approach for a first-year vs. a veteran), define sub-team roles using a real team-organization model (FIRST's own guide or a published team handbook), facilitate productive meetings and mediate conflicts, and coordinate a specific role -- like pit crew or drive team communication -- during a competition, where leadership looks nothing like a weekly team meeting. This level is self-guided and typically takes a couple of months; completing it means you can lead most of the day-to-day team coordination the team needs.
