Learning Objective

Drive organizational effectiveness through strategic leadership and culture development, plan for the annual, structural leadership transition every FRC team faces as its most experienced leaders graduate every year, navigate the balance between student leadership authority and mentor authority (safety, budget, strategy), build a psychologically safe team culture grounded in real research, and establish sustainable team practices that promote long-term success. This level typically takes a full season and centers on a capstone project reviewed and signed off by a mentor -- this is where students move from following existing structures to designing and defending their own.
