Machining and manufacturing curriculum for FRC teams

This module builds from generic shop fundamentals to FRC-specific fabrication, then to advanced, independent manufacturing work and finally program leadership. Levels 1-2 are self-guided: safety certification, tool proficiency, and basic machining are meant to be picked up through study, practice, and everyday shop involvement. Levels 3-4 shift toward mentor-reviewed project work, since evaluating precision machining and leadership requires more than a checklist.

Applying shop fundamentals to FRC-specific power tools, machining, CNC, and 3D printing
Level 3: Advanced Machining & Fixtures
Complex machining, CNC/CAM, sheet metal, custom fixtures, and design-for-manufacturing feedback
Level 4: Manufacturing Leadership
High-level manufacturing operations, machine certification, and program leadership
